Bowland & Bay is delighted to be partnering once again with the Cartford Inn, Winners of AA Inn of the Year Great Britain 2025. As we showcase the best artisans from chefs to farmers, across rural Lancashire.
This year guests have two booking options

Guests meet Food Guide Katie at the Cartford Inn at Midday, for Chef Chris Bury’s seasonal sharing platters & TOTI drinks. After lunch we set off on our odyssey of local artisans from the coast to the fells.
A sample of the itinerary:
– Local specialities lunch from Cartford Inn with tour of TOTI deli.
– Lancashire Cheese tasting
– Gin distillery tasting on the fells
– Smokehouse shop on the bay
– Farm shop and butchery
– Brewery tour and tasting down on the farm
Returning guests back to the Cartford Inn for onward journeys or to relax in their riverside rooms before dinner.
